25-28 Aug, 2022 at Coombs Hill Barn in Merrijig
Thursday Aug 25, 2022
5pm The Mountains are Calling: Guests are welcome to arrive at Coombs Hill from 5pm, giving you time to meet your hosts, fellow Mat & Tablers, get settled in your room & explore the amazing property in which we get to call home for the long weekend!
6pm Greetings, Grazing & Grigio: Like any fabulous dinner-party, grab a glass & head towards the grazing table. No need to be shy with your portions or when introducing yourself to your fellow Mat & Tablers.
7:45pm The First Supper: You’ve heard of the last supper, but this is just as spiritual of an event. Grab a seat at the table & continue your chin wags over handpicked local wines while Melbourne hospitality legend & our private chef for the weekend, Tori Bicknell, serves up our first dinner.

Early riser or don’t like to practice on an empty stomach? No worries, we wouldn’t dare leave you hungry. The kitchen will have fruit, granola, yoghurt, fresh bread, jam & coffee/tea by 7am each morning.
8:30am Bigggg Morning Stretch: After a sleep in, we’ll start the day with a light-hearted & dynamic 75 minute flow with Sarah designed to kick start your High Country weekend with high endorphins.
9:45am Morning (no need to) Scramble: Take your time refueling your body with an abundant brunch spread full of sweet & savory options, fresh juices & local pastries. Oh, & of course, coffee.
10:45am Everything The Light Touches Is Yours: The next few hours are completely yours to explore the majestic Victorian High Country. Why not visit Delatite Wines? How about charming towns like Mansfield or Merrijig? Alternatively, take a long bath & snuggle up by the fire with a book? Yum. There’s plenty of time… use it however you fancy.
3:15pm- 4:30pm Yin Bliss
After your explorations, we'll regroup for a slow-paced grounding yin practice with Sarah. Get cuddly and let yourself drop in to a state of bliss.
4:30pm- 6:30pm Hand Embroidery with Horn Poppy: Presence can be achieved in many ways on & off the yoga mat. One way is the art of hand embroidery. It requires mindfulness & focus as you thread your needle, following the pattern to make your own design. That’s why we’ve called upon embroidery expert, Victoria aka “Horn Poppy”, to show us the ropes (or threads) on how to hand embroider your own hoop. Cozy up by the cracklin’ fire & get ready to learn a new relaxing skill.
7:30pm A Bountiful Feast: “One of the very nicest things about life is the way we must regularly stop whatever it is we are doing & devote our attention to eating.” — Luciano Pavarotti. Join Chef Tori around the table as we feast on flavorful plates, pour wine, & share stories.

8:30am Sunny Side Up: After a sleep in, we’ll start our day by finding connection with breath & body in a nurturing 60 minute Slow Flow with Sarah. Cuppas on the mat are most welcome.
9:45am New Day, New Feast: “One should not attend even the end of the world without a good breakfast” - Robert A. Heinlein. You heard the man, before anything else on the schedule- it’s time for another laid back brunch spread before your day 2 explorations begin!
10:45am Explore High Country: Was there something yesterday you didn’t get a chance to see or do? Now’s your time! Perhaps visit the monthly Mansfield Farmer’s Market that’s on until 1:30pm? Or take a drive up Mt. Stirling or Mt. Buller for some snow topped views?
4:30pm Wine Without the Ego: Like us, Nathen Doyle is all about good food & booze. As co-owner of Carlton’s Heartattack & Vine he’s an expert at tasting & picking local wines. When the pandemic temporarily closed the restaurant, Nathen pivoted & created Good Booze. Blind. Good Booze. Blind is designed to teach even the most novice wine drinker how to taste, appreciate, and talk about wine... without any ego. Nathen will lead us through a "blind" tasting, where we'll explore acids, tannins, body, & flavours in a range of wines. You’ll leave with a better understanding of your palate, your likes & dislikes, & how to find more of what you want.
7:30pm The Grande Finale Dinner: Wear something you feel extra special in! Chef Tori is pulling out all the stops for the special last night dinner. Come hungry, we cannot wait to treat you!

10:30am Breathe in the High Country Air: Before we send you back down the dirt road to Melbourne, lets literally breathe in High Country Air one last time together in a final meditation.
11:00am Love You & Leave You: There is no rush. Take your time gathering your things. We’ll regroup for a proper farewell before we say our ‘see ya laters!”
